I love this question because it brings back such good memories!
My kids, as babies, had their own bed, in their own room, but they very often ended up in our bed. Every morning we woke up with at least one child with us, sometimes all 3!! I wouldn't take that time back for anything!

DS was always in his own room. In the morning I would go get him from his crib and bring him in my bed for a snuggle. Now that he's in his big boy bed I go to him in the morning and sometimes we come back to my bed and sometimes we cuddle in his bed.

We co-sleep but DD has naps during the day in her crib.

My DD has always been in her own bed in her own room, but she is always welcome in our bed and us in hers! I love the snuggly times but I also see it as very important for my children to sleep on their own.

Each of my boys have always had their own crib in their own room but occassionally ended up sleeping with me either in my bed or on the couch. Depends on their needs and my level of tiredness.
Caden has definately spent the most time out of the 3 sleeping near or with me. He just seems to need more of his mommy than the other 2 did. He's my only baby to have medical needs so I always assumed that was the reason.

We had our oldest in a cradle, then a crib in our room until we moved into a two bedroom apartment when she was six months old, then she was in her own room. She never slept in our bed. Our youngest was in a crib in our room for the first year. She didn't sleep through the night until a year old. We didn't want to put her crib in her sister's room until she was sleeping through the night. Again, she never slept in the bed with us. Actually, that isn't completely true. One time as a treat (because she really, really wanted to, she slept with me. Hubby was away and my oldest was sleeping at a friend's house. She got to sleep on Dad's side of the bed for a night.

He started out in a crib right beside my bed. When he was about 3.5-4 months old, we started co-sleeping after his first night feeding. When he was 8.5 months old, he started sleeping across the room from me, and got his own room last January, at 2.5 years old.
We have continued "part-time" co-sleeping, in that he always comes into my bed when he wakes up. It's just that as he has gotten older, he stopped waking in the middle of the night. When he turned 2, he started sleeping through the night most of the time. Now, he usually just joins me for cuddles in the mornings.
I'm so glad I did it this way. He never, ever cried himself to sleep, and has always had the security of knowing I was there for him at night. It obviously hasn't made him OVERLY dependent on sleeping with me, because he does just fine on his own!

My kids had a bassinet next to our bed and it was easy to roll over, pull them out and bf in the middle of the night. We didn't actually co sleep until they were over a year old. It wasn't planned, just happened over time and they still at 12 & 10 wander into our room, drop a pillow and blanket on the floor and spend the night. Last night there was a lot of thunder and DS was just feeling safer on our floor. DD stayed in her room with the dogs.

Both kids have their own beds and sleep in them regularily. When ds was a newborn he sometimes slept in bed with us, when dsd was a toddler it was not unusual for her to wake up early in the morning and crawl into bed with us.

The twins had their own playpen that they slept in together or they would co-sleep with me on the futon (depending on my level of tiredness) They then graduated to their own cribs in a shared room (had there own rooms for a little, but then had to make room for baby so back together they went) Rough nights I would co-sleep with whoever needed it on the couch (usually Seth)
Hunter had the playpen beside the bed but usually ended up co-sleeping. Moved to his own crib in his own room at 4 months. But still co-sleeping more then in his own crib. Just recently (within the last two months) He sleeps mostly in his own crib in his own room, then wakes up a bit early for cuddles/co-sleep on the couch with Mommy

we have a bassinet in our rooms they are in until big enough to make it more than 2 hrs w/o bf That said I also 'coslept' with my kids a lot in the beginning simply b/c I had a scare with dd1 at 2 wks old where she was napping & I happened to have brought the bassinet out with me while I folded laundry. She was silent but jerking & it turns out she had some mucous still working its way out & if I hadn't gotten it out (upside down baby & patting the back) she most likely would have died. Even the paramedics when they came said that she wouldn't have been able to get it out b/c it was so big. So until my kids were 1 - 2 months I slept with them in my arms so I could 'feel' them.
Now we have 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 yrs. The 4 & 6 y/o sleepwalk into our bed pretty much every night. The 8 y/o is slowly stopping & usually only a handful of times in a month. The 10 y/o NEVER shares her bed/space so sleeps right through The 12 y/o stopped sleepwalking to our bed around 10/11 yrs LOL
Otherwise the 4 y/o has his own room while the 6 & 8 y/o share a room (one set of bunk beds & a single bed) & the 10 & 12 y/o share a room (again same bed plan single & bunk beds so each have 3 beds). We also have a small bunkbed that our students sleep in but once this set leaves we might move to ds' room & move his single there.
I want a king bed for all the extra space but dh is in denial & says to get a bigger bed means we admit they will come into bed with us! LOL
That said dd3 was in my arms until she was 6 mo b/c sleeping while having a 10 min snack at the boob was her only sleep she did! LOL (seriously the kid even stumped drs b/c she did NOT need sleep - now she is the bear who needs to sleep TONS LOL)

DS has always had his own bed, but he's always slept with us! He usually starts off the night in his own room, but will either come to our room or call for me to bring him to our room sometime during the night. He's recently dropped his last nap, but he always slept on his own during the day. I have always loved the fact that no matter how difficult the day, we always ended it by having snuggle time and stared it with snuggle time.
