Do you make your bed every morning? Why or why not? When you do make your bed, does it help you feel more organized and ready to face the day? Do you enjoy climbing into a well made bed at night or does it make no difference to you? When is the best time to make your bed? The moment you get up, or later on in the morning or day?

Nope, I don't! Shame on me, I know.
I could. There's absolutely no reason other than laziness why I don't. If I set the alarm 10 minutes earlier it wouldn't be an issue. On the weekend YES I do, but through the week, the bed is just too cozy to get out of any earlier than I have to!

i make my bed as soon as i stand up. i have too, if i don't i just feel lazy and unorganized each day. i am abit on the obessive side. i hop out of bed, make it, tidy the room, then head to my boys room tidy it, make the bed, dress them, they take down there laundry, while i tidy the bathroom. then we have breakfast, it all happens quickly i would guess it only takes 10 minutes.

My bed simply has a duvet so it's just a matter of fluffing it. I have several covers for it so I don't bother with a top sheet. I make the bed when I am folding laundry on it or climbing in. the mornings are too busy to worry about it.

Sarah - that picture of Lydia is adorable!!
About bed making: I must say that on the days I do make my bed... I make it the moment my feet hit the floor -- it helps me feel more organized all day long. And I LOVE climbing into a nicely made bed at night! Hubby couldn't care less.. he thinks it's the biggest waste of time!

My bed gets made every morning! Sometimes I leave it to air while I get the boys breakfast etc, but it's always made by the time I'm dressed.
I'm a trained nurse...perfectly made beds were a part of my day (& we're talking 15 beds with proper sheets every day!) so my bed has to be properly made. I must confess - I even iron my sheets as I love getting into a crisp bed!
If i was rich i'd have someone to put fresh sheets on my bed everyday!
My kids have duvets, and they make their own beds in the mornings. If they aren't made I don't always notice, as they both have high beds!

Yes, I make my bed. I make it first thing in the morning. I place all the laundry on my bed and since I do laundry almost every day it needs to be made. Also, I hate walking by and seeing it not made... DH is the same and on the weekends if he's the last one out of bed, he makes it.

nope, I read once that dust mites like warm & moist environments & they actually said if you have allergies not to make your bed right away. Let it cool down & have them move on. So, that's my excuse!
But before the kids go to school (after they are dressed, fed, hair & teeth brushed & backpacks with lunches all ready) they make their beds up

I don't make the beds until an hour until my DH is off work. On weekends,....................who cares. It's a weekend to get lazy with the family,

I heard on CityLine that you should always air out your bed...it makes you matress last longer apparently. Depends on the day...sometimes I make it sometimes I don't. With a newborn and a toddler, it gets hard to even get dressed in the morning some days. Making the bed is not high on the priority list. These days, honestly, with O teething (last teeth...finally ;)) and getting up in the night to BF, I am just exhausted.

I NEVER used to but... dh and I bought a new bed in January and new bedding and a new duvet and I just love the look of it, so every morning I am now making my bed so it looks nice lol But I'm not obsessive about the idea of it and I don't feel any different for having it done.

I only make the bed when we put on new sheets. BF doesn't like top sheets. So it's just a comforter and a fitted sheet for us. Could I make the bed? Ya sure it would take ten seconds. But since I just curl in under the comforter, it doesn't bother me that much. I know BF likes crawling into a made bed. But he's never the one to make it so I don't worry about it.
